PAX ETG61 Nylon-Olefin Alloy
PAX ETG61 is a Mercury Plastics developed nylon-olefin alloy thermoplastic. This material was specifically designed as a lower cost alternative to lubricated nylons typically used in fuel, vacuum and hydraulic line applications, including nylon 11 and nylon 12.
Compared to nylon, PAX ETG61 offers:
- Increased tensile strength
- Improved tear strength
- Better heat resistance
- Superior heat aging properties
- Lower coefficient of linear thermal expansion
PAX ETG61 has been shown to have equivalent permeability to nylon 11 and nylon 12 when tested according to ASTM DD471 Ref. Fuel A and has passed the SAE J-844 zinc chloride test.
